Traveled on the intercity and it stopped at this little town called Lawrence. If you are driving the south island or near here definitely worth stopping into this warm and friendly pub. I especially loved the welcome from the resident cat!! Relaxing by the fire with a drink is the perfect way to spend some time during a cold winter day. Great location on the main street and staff are very friendly. ⭐

The Chicken Schnitzel and Lamb Shanks were amazing, I definitely recommend this restaurant. We ate here a second night, both had pizzas, they were amazing, best we've had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Having read recent positive reviews, of course we had to come to the local for a good pub meal. We had the Chicken schnitzel and the beef schnitzel, and the bangers and mash. All great flavoursome sauces and a great salad with each meal. A couple of bottles of Speights ultra and we can say we had another great pub meal. Great friendly banter from staff and locals. Thanks.
