We had a fantastic dinning experience at the Matterhorn. The food was amazing,my partner and I really enjoyed the Tomohawk steak which came with delish sauces and a large selection of sides to choose from. They have a wide variety of drinks on offer,my fave being the mulled wine. The restaurant itself is athletically pleasing, designed like a wooden ski lodge with a warm fire and comfy couches to relax on after dinner.I can't wait to go back next year.
Located above the Powderkeg Restaurant in the Powderhorn Chateau hotel. Unlike the downstairs restaurant this one is only open Thursdays to Sundays, and is a bit fancier - chandeliers, real candles at the table, and a more refined menu.
The eye fillet was excellent, and came with great sides and sauces from a pretty extensive menu of choices. The atmosphere is that of a fancy chalet, including a large fire where they cook mulled wine. There's also a nice bar in the centre.
Great environment, warm and welcoming. We will be back!
