Food her is stunning, really authentic tasting food. We went her on the last night staying at the Hamilton Hotel, which is a good thing because if we had of been there on the first night we would have spent far to much money
We went for a dinner when were on vacations in Queenstown. It was a steady, a bit busy evening for them. Manager Vishal who was hosting us was great. After few minutes that he gave us to familiarise ourselves with menu, he took our order - we decided on seafood soups, sour and sweet chicken for me, sweet and sour pork for my partner and fried ice cream for desserts for both of us.
I absolutely loved the seafood soup! Both of sour and sweet dishes were pretty average. And fried ice cream is actually a piece of art :)
Waiting time was about 20-25 minutes, that we spent chatting with each other and having our appetizers.
The place is really good, especially if you not in rush.
Just but be careful - if it's very busy there and they have only two people on the floor - then waiting time can take much longer, I believe.
We dined here one night on our trip to Queenstown because it was about a five minute walk from our hotel room and we felt like eating Peking duck! We had eight people dining here and the tables aren't usually grouped into tables to seat as many people as we had so they had to do some rearranging to fit us in. It was quite busy when we came around 7pm!
We ordered two courses of Peking duck and got two portions of these. We decided one between four people was a good amount. To share, we also ordered some dishes on the side. We ended up getting yu xiang egg plant which was stir fried. I liked this dish! But we had to share it around our group of eight so I didn't get to eat much of it!
The service wasn't too bad and the man tried to help us as much as he could with our questions! We ended up having very happy bellies at the end of this meal. I would probably revisit if I was staying at the Hilton again!
