Delicious juicy and crispy chicken. Our favourite was the C. A. B burger (chicken, avocado and bacon) which was very satisfying. Chips dusted with spicy or smoky seasoning were both very tasty (spicy is actually quite spicy so be warned). Always a fan of chicken with bones so while tenders were good (juicy and crispy) I preferred the wings. We enjoyed ourselves so much we visited twice!

This place is unreal. The best chicken burger I’ve ever had! They have vegetarian and vegan options too and it’s seriously the sexiest chicken you’ll ever have the pleasure of devouring. And it’s huggeee. Get the meltdown with liquid cheese. You won’t regret it

Wānaka is so lucky to have Firebird! Although it was chaotic, we really enjoyed our lunch. We weren’t too sure how the spice rating worked because we have found that spicy food in New Zealand is never actually spicy, but our pants were both off!! (We ordered 2 hotboxes one “hot” and the other “proper hot” We were hurting quite a bit so we bought the aioli and peri mayonnaise sauces to help us get through it. I would definitely go back to try the burgers or another hot box but stick to the safe zone of “medium” heat.
