We went here for the first time on Sunday night for the Sunday special Roast. The atmosphere was very nice, with the background music not to loud so you could talk at the table fine.
For us, it was a very long wait from when we ordered till we got our food (close to an hour), but we understood as it was very busy, and we were the last table if the night.
Our bread starter was good. The main when it arrived was lovely, although the vegetables could have been cooked a bit longer. It was great value, and we will be back.
Update, went back for steak night special, and loved it, steak cooked perfectly. Food arrived quickly.
Went back again and I had the ribs and my wife a burger, once again both were really good.

Last night we had a lovely $20 Sunday roast at Picador in Whangaporoa opposite the new world. Honestly could not fault the meal & deserts we had. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The vegetables were cooked perfectly not too hard not too soft. Pumpkin, kumara & potatoes were soft & served hot.
& the beef brisket meat just melted in your mouth 🤤 As you can see my plate was polished clean. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The restaurant was warm. The atmosphere was very inviting with volume on the quieter side even though the place was packed full of customers. Table & chair layouts were accessible & easy for us to manoeuvre around our new born & toddler. We also was provided a clean & tidy high chair.
Finished off with chocolate mud cake & ice cream!
$175 dollars all up for 4 adults including meals, drinks & desert is incredible value for money considering the quality of food & service we received last night. Perfect stress free Sunday afternoon for our family after a long hard working week.

Awesome restaurant with great people, steak are amazing and well cooked. Ask for the waiter named sander he is very kind and experienced. Highly recommended 10/10
