Although I haven't tried their food I've been here two days in a row for coffee and there are always customers out the front from the minute it opens. The staff are also super friendly 😁

This has to be one of my favourite Auckland beaches - particularly during the week when it is less crowded.I'm surprised there aren't more cafes & restaurants here looking onto the beach, but then that's a plus - nice to have that small village feel. Grabbed a seat outside at this cafe - yip you can't beat that view!
I hadn't eaten here before - only had coffees or ice cream, but on a nice day thought I'd try their lunch menu.
Greeted warmly I asked about the fish of the day - snapper with a choice of whether it was fried or grilled. I chose grilled. Food arrived quickly - fish appeared fresh & was nicely caramelised without being overcooked.
Salad was basic but very tasty with a vinegarette. Chips - large portion & again well cooked.
They don't have a large menu but there are some good cabinet items to choose from. The cafe was busy with regulars from workmen to retired locals - always a good sign.
Will be back next time I'm in the area.

I've been here several times, each time with friendly service at the till and wonderful coffee. Each time I have ordered the Eggs Benedict with Mushrooms and it is always well presented and tastes great. Really good serving of mushrooms too. I'll definitely be back again.
