My go to for Vegetarian Tom Yum soup in the cbd. Lots of veges, good amount of tofu and a nice chili hit if you request it, always made in a timely fashion!
It was busy in the food court with queues at most of the outlets. This worked out well as it swayed me to Satay Delights in the corner where there wasn't a queue.
I opted for the Chicken Roti Chanai ($8.00)
I was given one of the vibrating tokens to alert me when it was ready. It only took several minutes.
The curry itself looks small. Half a large pot. It consists of three pieces of roast potato and two pieces of chicken. I would have preferred more as it didn't look that much. There was plenty of roti though.
The curry sauce was great. Really tasty and satisfying. In the end it worked out to be the right amount by dipping the roti in the sauce.
The roti was nice too. Sweet and soft.
Overall a very flavoursome, tasty meal... although an extra piece of chicken wouldn't go amiss.
I love this place! The service here is great, the man is a very friendly and generous man (he gave me extra rice to takeaway during Christmas Eve). The curry guy next to Satay Delights also gave me a whole bunch of curry to take home that day. Basically, I love the people at Capital Market :) I always get takeaway mi goreng from here, it's great. I think it's the best mi goreng you can find in Wellington (I'm quite picky about my mi goreng).I had the nasi lemak here and it was quite alright. The Hainanese chicken rice is also alright, but I would go somewhere else to get this dish.I really like their mi goreng, finding good mi goreng is really hard in Wellington because they will either be too salty or not oily enough. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu. In conclusion, great service, great food!
